It’s been a fantastic summer here at Olivia’s Kitchen. September is off to an exciting start, too, with some exciting expansion news for our renowned North East catering company.

As we close in on the second half of 2022, we do so with a bigger team and a larger fleet of branded vehicles! Yep, that’s right, the fantastic growth we have been experiencing in our operations has necessitated us taking on an additional 14 members of staff and adding a new vehicle into the mix, too.

Over the past several months, we have been delighted to acquire more direct business as a greater number of companies within the North East region seek to outsource their catering operations. The growth in orders that we have experienced can also be attributed to the expansion of new businesses within the Newcastle area, as well as existing clients of ours welcoming the return of greater numbers of staff back to the office who had, until recently, been working from home.

It quickly became clear that the growth we were experiencing as a business would require us to take on a number of new staff members. As such, we’re delighted to say that we have recently been joined by a whopping 14 new additions to the Olivia’s Kitchen team.

This number includes a new Kitchen Manager and seven new Production Assistants, as well as a Cafe Assistant, Kitchen Porter, Delivery Driver and Administration Assistant. We’re confident that these new team members will help us to continue going from strength to strength as we strive to provide first-class professional catering services across the North East.

On top of our growth as a team, we have also added a new vehicle to our fleet in order to accommodate the larger number of deliveries we are making. The addition of this fourth refrigerated van will enable us to take on more business as we continue to expand our operations.

So, it’s truly an exciting time here at Olivia’s Kitchen as we gear up for the months ahead. Moving into the Autumn and Winter, we plan to continue expanding our customer base, while preparing diligently for the upcoming festive season, which is certainly set to be a busy one.

For the first time since before the pandemic, offices will be celebrating with Christmas parties again, which means our services will likely be in high demand. Did somebody say canapé?

Plus, as we move beyond 2022 and into the coming New Year, we’re incredibly excited to begin formulating plans as we look to expand our operations further afield to the rest of the UK. Phew! It’s certainly an incredibly exciting time here for all of the team, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store as 2022 draws to a close.

"The selection of sandwiches was very good"

I just wanted to say thank you for the lunch on Wednesday. I normally order and never get to taste.  I was in the meeting on Wednesday and the selection of sandwiches was very good.  The sausage rolls both meat and veggie were very tasty! And the ‘school ‘ cake with the hundreds and thousands was lovely! Thanks you.  I was not the only one who commented on the food, which is always a good thing!
