Catering With A Conscience

Waste is a big big problem in the UK’s food and hospitality industries, that’s certainly no secret. Shockingly, it’s estimated that around two million tonnes of waste is generated by these industries on a yearly basis.

As caterers, we feel a real responsibility to minimise the environmental impact of the work that we do. We see our place within the bigger picture and understand how our actions and choices as a business ripple out, and are therefore committed to catering with a conscience!

At Olivia’s Kitchen, we’re committed to minimising waste wherever we can whilst streamlining the experience for our clients, from the moment we make our deliveries, all the way to the clear up process!

We make a huge effort to deliver our services in an eco-conscious way, and a big part of this centres around our focus on reusable buffet ware.

Here at Olivia’s Kitchen, we minimise our reliance on single-use plastics wherever we possibly can. Not only is our food truly delicious, but it is delivered to our clients in our branded cool bags presentation-ready, on our very own reusable slate-look platters!

Designed to add a stylish, professional edge to your spread, our slate-look platters are sturdy and ready for display, removing the need for any unnecessary food handling. Even the durable, clear plastic lids enclosing the contents of each platter are reusable, too.

As part of our streamlined catering service, we will collect these reusable platters along with their reusable plastic lids the next day. Our clients don’t even need to fret about disposing of leftovers and washing the platters, they only need to pop them back into our reusable cool bags, ready for collection.

Once they’re back in our hands, we will clean and sanitise them back at our premises and get them spick and span for their next destination! This way, our sustainable buffet ware can be used time and time again, as we fly the flag for eco-conscious catering across the North East of England!
